This notice describes how the personal data of users visiting the website www.piemmeweb.it is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. Data processed

The website is purely informative and presents the company's activities and services.

It has no registration forms and does not directly collect personal data.

While the website is being browsed, the IT systems and hosting services may automatically collect some technical data, including the IP address, browser information and data about the requests made to the server.

If users contact the company of their own accord by email or telephone, the data they provide will be used only to handle their request and any resulting business relationship.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Any data processed is used to:

  • Ensure that the website works correctly, is secure and is displayed properly.
  • Remember the user's preferred browsing language.
  • Reply to requests for information or support sent voluntarily by users.

The legal bases are the controller's legitimate interest in the correct operation and security of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for commercial or contractual requests, the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Cookies and other storage technologies

The website does not use cookies, either its own or third-party ones.

To remember the chosen language, the website uses a single technical tool: the browser's local storage (localStorage). The value is saved only when the user uses the IT | EN language selector.

Tool used:

  • Name: pno-lang
  • Value: it or en
  • Purpose: to remember the preferred language, so that the website opens in the same language on later visits.
  • Duration: no expiry. The value remains in the browser until the user deletes the website's browsing data.

The value stays on the user's device and is not sent to the server or to third parties.

No profiling, advertising or statistical analysis tools are used. The website does not load third-party content either, such as maps, videos, fonts or social media buttons, that could set cookies.

This is a technical tool, used to provide a function requested by the user. For this reason prior consent is not required, under Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021.

The value can be deleted at any time from the browser settings, by clearing the data of the website www.piemmeweb.it. The website will then go back to choosing the language based on the browser settings.

5. Retention and disclosure of data

Technical browsing data is recorded in the server logs and kept for the period set by the hosting provider for technical and security purposes, unless it is needed to investigate computer crimes.

Information sent voluntarily by email is kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and to meet any legal obligations.

The website hosting and email services are provided by Aruba S.p.A., with servers in the European Union. Aruba processes the data on behalf of the controller, as data processor, solely for the purposes stated and in compliance with applicable law.

The data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

The data is not sold or used for profiling.

6. Rights of data subjects

Where provided for by the GDPR, users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability.

Users may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) through its website www.garanteprivacy.it.

7. Changes to this notice

Piemme S.r.l. may update this notice if the website, the services used or the applicable law change.
